Cub Scout Pack 873 is a unit chartered by Scouting America to Canyon Ranch Elementary PTO, our sponsor.
Scouting America is divided into Regions (we are in the Southern Region). Regions are further subdivided into councils (we are in “Circle Ten” Council, which covers parts of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma) and Districts (we are in the “Western Horizon” District, which covers much of Irving, Coppell and Grand Prairie).
Cub Scouts Pack 873 include students from:
Canyon Ranch Elementary (CRE)
Valley Ranch Elementary (VRE)
and Richard Lee Elementary (LEE) schools.
Cub Scouts Groups
Pack (1st to 5th Graders) Troop (6th Grader onwards).

Pack 873 isn’t just active, it’s leading the way!
With 79 Cub Scouts, 22 dedicated volunteers, and 12 den leaders and assistants, Pack 873 stands as one of the largest and strongest Cub Scout packs from Dallas to Texoma. For the past two years, Pack 873 has hosted the largest School Night for Scouting events in the region, welcoming over 100 families each year eager to learn what makes this pack different.
Big energy, strong leadership, and a program families want to be part of, that’s Pack 873.
