The CRE PTO

A very warm welcome from the CRE Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO).

The PTO is made up of parent volunteers just like you and has a simple mission to bring our teachers/staff, students and parents together to celebrate and support the school spirit.

Though we are a non-profit organizations run by volunteers we still need to raise funds to sponsor our activities throughout the year. Our parents and sponsors donations and involvement make many of our activities possible. Some parents have asked -- how are the funds raised by the PTO are used?

The first use is as the PTO General funds-

Funds raised through our Write a Check donations campaign, Webstore sales (yearbooks, spirit wear etc.), Restaurant Spirit nights, Fall Carnival and Fun Run provide for -

-- several teacher grants that the PTO sponsors (we have provided almost $10K in grants until now and the chick incubators and Ukulele were some of the popular grants) 

-- Bus Transportation for all kids during class field trips 

-- 5th grade graduation celebrations for our graduating class

-- Author visits, enrichment programs, purchasing PE equipment (eg. the soccer goals), robotic kits and even the garden shed.

Room Funds- Separate funds created by PTO to be used exclusively for Teacher celebrations (Birthday gift cards, Teacher Appreciation week treats, Winter holiday gifts etc.) and also for our student celebrations during the Winter holiday and Valentine day class/ house parties. More contributions to these funds means that the PTO can plan more fun celebrations!
